Pedestrian- and Bicycle Bridge for the Landesgartenschau 2014, Deggendorf

Project Description

The superstructure of the bridge is designed as a continuous beam with six spans. The total length of the bridge is 455m, its widest span is 106m over the waterway.
The structure consists of two 4.30 to 8.50 m high steel trusses which are inclined by 8° to the vertical. At their joints they are connected by cross girders at the top and bottom chord. The width of the bridge is 4,30 to 6,0 m as a result of the curvature of the gradient.
After the superstructure is finished, wooden planks will be installed as bridge deck.
