7 Bridges in the Phoenix-Park Dortmund

Project Description

Seven footbridges (Faßstrasse, Emschersteg Ost, Emschersteg West, Semerteichstrasse, Brückenschlag - B45 & Nordkirchenstrasse - and the Porta Westfalica) are built as a part of the PHOENIX development project in Dortmund. The single parts of the bridge family are designed as steel structures with spans between 17 m and 102 m.

The walkways are built with orthotropic steel decks. The top surface is coated with a “RHD”-coating. The deep foundations are made of cast-in-citu concrete piles. An LED-lighting system is installed into the handrail.
