Exhibition Halls for Stuttgart Trade Fair Congress Center

Project Description

7 Standard Exhibition Halls (70 x 155m), the Grand Exhibition Hall (144 x 155 m) as a column-free multipurpose hall including the corresponding parts for building services and storage areas, supply tunnels, restaurants, and several passage bridges spanning between the halls.

The roof structures are consisting of partly landscaped hanging roofs, supported by discrete stress ribbons spanning between column-trestles or inclined boundary trusses. In order to minimize deflections resulting from wind-suction, prestressed cable-trusses are formed at the stress ribbons between the column-trestles.
