John Cranko School Stuttgart

Mayr|Ludescher|Partner was commissioned with the structural design for the new construction of the renowned ballet school and the state academy of the theater of Stuttgart by the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg.

The architecture is originating from Burger Rudacs Architects of Munich, who were successful within the architectural competition with a broad international participation.

The new building for the school and academy is characterized by a voluminous functional program and responds to the topologic hillside situation overcoming a height difference of twenty meters by a terraced building structure with an exposed concrete façade.
