1st Prize for Multi-Span Ribbon Bridge

In order to create an attractive routing for the cycleway along the river Neckar between the cities of Heilbronn and Lauffen, an invited design competition was held to find the optimum solution for the crossing of the Neckar at the historic dam of Horkheim.

In cooperation with the architects of Auer Weber, Mayr|Ludescher|Partner was able to convince the jury with a slender, multi-span stress-ribbon bridge which is adapted to the existing dam and at the same time also contrasts the massive cultural monument. The elaborate design received the first prize by the jury and was recommended for realization.
